Help with this question please?

the fan is controlled by a pulsewidth modulated relay, not a solid state relay. there is no sensor or switch that turns on the relay like everyone likes to think. the pcm varies the duty cycle of the relay based on coolant temp, trans temp, and a/c pressures. the relay is bolted to teh frame rail under the airbox or bolted to the bumper support depending on what year van you are working on. they are very common. did you get your intrepid fixed?
