Asian beauty..why so narrow?

So we all know that whites have a variety in beauty but Asians beauty is pretty limited. Asians seem to prefer 1 type of beauty (fair skin, black hair, asian eyes), why can't they embrace darker skinned Asians like the ones in India and Southeastern Asia/indonesia, malaysians..etc??
