Are there Muslims that do not believe in the tenet of this Islamic dietary law?

Dear sister ,in my openion Halal animal slaughtered by the people of book(ahl e kitab) is halal anyway.I am not saying about pork etc only saying about halal animals.Somebody coeerct me if I am wrong
